          Console installed - looks "almost" stock. Happy to report that the fan works extremely well - lots of flow - and the "mode" switch changes the air flow to the vents. All vents get air as designed. I've got a plan to install a small actuator to open and close the fresh air vent at the cowl. Just waiting for the actuator to be delivered, more on that later. Installed the engine & xmission on the weekend, now I can get going on the electrical etc. Rebuild diary being updated today.

            I kept the vent assembly that pulls air from the high pressure area below the windshield (see earlier in this post - I cut the fan off but kept the vent door and plenum). But that left me with the problem of needing a mechanism to operate the door. Solution - an electric door lock actuator (<$10) and a momentary rocker switch on the centre console. Installed it this morning:
