That's an interesting solution. I never new these existed. I read the reviews on it. I think it is something you would have to adjust to work in your application to ensure there is not too much back pressure in the exhaust system. But, the reviews all mentioned that the drone was eliminated.

I replaced the Flowmaster with Magnaflow last year, it is quieter and very happy with it.
Maybe add this tip? LOL!

Keeping going with improvements while I wait for the weather to warm up. Was tired of waking up with back pain the day after doing any long-ish drive in the Z due to the worn-out foam of the stock seats, so picked up a set of 04-05 WRX seats for a good price. Whipped up some basic brackets and got them in the car the other day, they fit in surprisingly well without having to do anything much - handbrake, door cards (if i had any) , seatbelts, etc all have clearance.
Way better side bolstering, generally more comfy, more adjustability, and I think they fit the look of the car well.

First drive of the season today!
She took a little coaxing to get going (mostly because the gas in the float bowls evaporated if I had to guess) but after ~45 sec of cranking fired right up as usual. Slight misfire in the video below (because 6mo old gas and the car generally sitting) but that cleaned right up after the vid.
Took it for a ~20 min drive to top the tank with 91 and burn the old gas out of the lines. So glad to be back driving it, brings a smile to my face every single time.

Thanks! I'm really happy with how the suspension turned out, both in terms of ride quality visuals.More info about suspension starts at about post Halton Sydenham tour pics in the thread, but the basic gist of it is that I sectioned all the strut housings 1.5" (rears might have been a slightly different amount, it's in the thread somewhere iirc), welded them back together, used ae86 corolla gas struts in the front, 240z fronts in the rear, and some used spring perches and coilover springs (Ground Control or T3 I think not not 100% sure as they were bought used).
And because this is as a good a place as any, should probably get around to mentioning I am in fact not a guy lol, and i've been going by Ellie for well over a yr now haha. Anyway, back to car stuff.
Nothing else really new to report on the Z, probably going to raise the rear 10mm or so to reduce rubbing on really big bumps, and glue some mesh into the plastic airhorn intake pieces so that when the car sits over the winter mice can't get in the upper channels and try to make a nest like they did last winter.

Ellie, I had taken note of your post from last December with the photo of the 8 bladed fan. I had the original 7 blade fan in my 240Z. Your picture motivated me to find a 8 blade fan from a 280ZX. I installed it on my original fan hub. I am happy with the additional air flow through the rad when the fan clutch engages during hot weather. I can tell the difference because you can hear a slight fan roar when its moving more air. It works especially well with the fan shroud I have surrounding the fan blades. With the 8 blade fan, the temp gauge never varies from its normal operating position when driving no matter how hard I push the car even though I only have a 2 row radiator. Even during a hot track day and pushing the car for 20 minutes, the temperature never goes above normal. But, the real noticeable difference is in traffic on a hot day. The engine temperature remains normal no matter how long I am sitting in traffic.
This was not the case with the original 7 blade fan because I would always get concerned when stuck in traffic on a hot day as I watched the temperature gauge creep higher.
