That reminds me of a bare assed 510 I once owned. Pre internet days when you couldn't find a bumper even if you tried. Didn't want to drive a freshly painted car with the rusty mess that was the bumper so I left it bare. Naturally after the car was gone I stumbled on a whole front clip, fenders hood cowl panel bumper, and a trunklid and rear bumper. Again pre-internet days. All those parts were taken off a '72 510 back in 1975 when it went racing. The bumpers are on the wagon, hood and fenders are in the basement, don't remember where the trunklid went to but I have a pretty good idea where it might be now.
Jeeze I've been at this Datsun thing a long time.
Car looks good. Silver is a little overdone on the newer cars but it sure looks good on the old Datsuns.71 510 wagon

It's amazing how one tiny capacitor can wreak so much havoc.

Put some serious time in on the car today. Here is a list plus some questions:
-Replaced shifter bushings. Nice and snug now.
-May have resolved rear defog issue (indicator light only came on intermittently when switch activated). After much testing I opened up the relay and cleaned/adjusted the contacts. This seems to have worked but we will see how long it holds up.
-Tried to resolve intermittent wiper issue (if I plug in lower connector on relay wipers will run continuously in the off position). Replaced relay but no change (I replaced combination switch a couple of years ago). I think the issue is in the motor itself. I have another motor but will wait until I am sure before going through the hassle of replacing. Any thoughts?
-Tried to resolve fuel gauge issue (only reads ¾ when full). Replaced gauge but no change (I had the sender unit replaced last year). I guess the issue is still with the sender given the gauges read the same. I’m thinking it was not zeroed properly. Any thoughts.
Thanks
