  • How to remove front and side rails to repair headliner

    Hi all

Just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the rails that act as trim around the headliner?

    Thanks in advance, Les

If you remove the door seal and welt you will see the edge of the vinyl trim, pull it up all the way around and you will see another welt under it, pull that off very carefully then there is enough room to grab the edge of the headliner.

On an S30 to remove the halo trim priperly thr windsheild needs to be removed.

That being said, you don't need to remove these trim pieces to replace the headliner.

          I think I should clarify...

The halo trim is simply fabric material that covers the metal structure and is why there is no need to remove that trim to replace the headliner. The headliner is simply tucked into the opening between these structural pieces and the roof skin. The headliner cover is cut larger than than the open that is seen.
