Eric's cottage tour is this weekend, Saturday, October 15.
We will follow a different format this year. Early risers can complete part of one of the self guided tours we set up for ZCON 2016. This tour starts near Dufferin and Teston Rd. It follows secondary roads north to Innisfil beach on Lake Simcoe. There will be questions to answer, including a stop at a large cemetery with over 20 names containing Zs, some with two Zs, and a stop at http://guildautorestore.com/ This pre-tour ends at Innisfil Beach on Lake Simcoe, where you can have a picnic lunch (bring your own). From here it is about an hour to Eric's cottage, where we will go on a "follow the leader" tour incorporating Southwood Road, a scenic drive through the Muskokas, a stop on Georgian Bay ending with dinner in a private room at Yannis Family Restaurant in Fesserton. From there, you are close to Hwy 400 for the trip home.
Maps and details will follow for those who want to participate in any or all portions of the day's activities. For example, you may want to consider going directly to Bala for the Cranberry Festival and joining up with the rest of the group as we pass through after Southwood Road.
Or, you may prefer to head straight to Eric's cottage. For those who have to leave early, we will never be more than 1/2 hour from Hwy 12 or Hwy 400.
I do ask that you confirm the numbers in your party by Thursday evening so I can make the dinner reservation at Yannis.

Itinerary
No later than 10:00 AM. earlier is encouraged to enjoy a leisurely drive and some time at The Guild For Automotive Restorations.
Leave the fire hall at Teston Rd. and Dufferin. 10820 Dufferin St.
No later than 1:00 PM.
Leave Innisfil Beach park.
No later than 2:00 PM.
Leave Eric's cottage.
No later than 4:00 PM.
Leave Bala
No later than 5:30 PM.
Leave Balm Beach, Georgian Bay.
6:00 PM.
Dinner at Yannis, Fesserton.
