  • ZFest 2013, post your experiences

Zfest is a big deal for me, I really look forward to it and I had a great time today. I wish i could have stayed for the awards and dinner and all that but had to get my daughter to work. Great venue, perfect weather and I'm now enjoying my 20th Anniversary bottle of Reif Estates Cab/Merlot at the moment,
    not too shabby.
Just like to thank all you people who worked so hard to put this together,
    first class job!
And I was VERY happy to see forum names on the windshield cards, I manged to talk to 3 people who were strangers to me before but I knew them from the forum.
The gourmet food truck was a great idea, I had the deep fried chile corn fritters and spicy cucumber salad, magnificent!
But I have to say that what I was really looking forward to was a big greasy
fried onion ladened burger with cheese and chips on the side. Maybe next year we could have both?

We had a great time. Awesome cars, great people, nice venue. Very well organized, everything ran smoothly. Worth the drive and time off work. I met a lot of nice people and I really enjoyed talking cars with them. I only wish I had time to meet and talk to more people. I'll have to keep an eye out for future events.

A big thank you to everyone involved with putting on a fabulous event!

Oh, by the way... If you took Video footage of the cruise or the show event... Would you mind sharing it with me? I'd like to use it, and give due credit. Thanks.

That was a great idea about putting the Usernames on the show cards so you had the chance to meet up with a few people. Glad we took you up on that. No hiding in the bush.

It was unfortunate that the vendor lined up for the refreshments didn't show up for whatever reason but Terry's family stepped up and filled the void with a quick run to purchase water and then provide (sell) it to the attendees. It was needed! He made a healthy food choice this time around.

Thanks to the Z-Fest team for another excellent day. I belive we might have had another record number of cars show up. I hope this keeps up in the future. The quality of cars keeps getting better every year! The only negative for me was the food truck, grilled octopus at a car show???? I went hungry.

What a great day. Fantastic cars, great location and super great people! Was great to see old friends that haven't been around in years. And I had the grilled octopus and it was delicious....more like an appetizer than a meal but it was a great idea. Next time supplement it with a burger truck.

And as Rick says...the quality of cars was very high.

Thanks for a great day OZC!

I see people already posting pics- we should have a Photo sharing thread started (Warning Bandwidth Overload!)

I'm wondering if anyone took video on Saturday's Cruise or Sundays Show and would be willing to send it to me to be used in a Z Fest Documentary that is being worked on. If your videos are short clips, you can email it to me at [email protected] , if your videos are too big to send, you can upload it to a free www.dropbox.com account and share it with my email so I can then download, and if neither of that works, you can mail me a memory card which I will expedite back to you ASAP.

Credit will be given to the providers of video.
